Falcade – Italy – Dolomites
15-26 July 2025
Twelve days, intensively dedicated to classical singing. The masterclass is open to students of all ages (15+) and of all levels who desire to attempt or are already developing a professional career. Lessons focus both on vocal technique and on interpretation, according to the student’s needs and level. Our program is open to professionals and students of advanced level (e.g. Master / Postgraduate), but also candidates of beginners level (e.g. Young Talent / Pre-academic) and of intermediate level (e.g. Bachelor) will be considered.
Selected students of advanced level will be able to take part in a staged performance of W.A. Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” on the 26th of July 2025. We are accepting candidacies for all solo parts.
We’ll produce the opera in a shortened version of about 80 minutes without interval, pointing at a simple but efficacious staging.
The performance of the opera will take place in the Teatro Navalge in the nearby small town of Moena. The singers will be accompanied on grand piano by Loris Peverada. The stage director will be Mirko Corradini and the conductor Claudio Vadagnini, both artists of partnering association “Aurona”. For more information and curricula, please visit Aurona’s website by clicking here (italian language only).
Stage rehearsals will be programmed from 22 to 25 July (General Dress Rehearsal on 25.7.2025).
Singers who will not be selected for a solo part will have the opportunity to sing in the choir of the production and will therefore take part in the stage rehearsals, dress rehearsal and show on the 26th of July.
The Masterclass offers the opportunity to all accepted students to study with Adelisa Tabiadon on a daily basis for the entire duration of the program. Loris will be present in these lessons until the 21st of July. From the 22nd of July onwards, Loris and the soloist of our Opera Studio will be in stage rehearsals and there will be another pianist working with Adelisa. Spoken languages: Italian and English. Lessons will focus on opera repertoire mainly. Students are welcome, however, to propose any sacred and chamber music repertoire they might want to work on. The daily timetable of the Masterclass is decided and communicated day by day.
On certain days, students of beginners / intermediate level may have lessons with the assistant teacher of the Masterclass, Oda Zoe Hochscheid, working mainly on posture, breathing and free vocal emission (for more information about Oda, please visit her website by clicking here).
Students selected by the Maestri and considered ready will be able to perform in the church concert on the 21st of July 2025. This concert will take place in the nearby, small and beautiful monumental church of “San Simon”, which hosts frescoes of the 15th century and represents one of the finest artistic treasures in the Veneto Region.
The choice of students and their division between soloists or choir singers in Così fan tutte will be based on your curriculum and audio / video material. Decision lies with the teachers and organisation of the Masterclass; no correspondence can be entered into. This also goes for the eventual participation in the church concert.
It is however possible to indicate your role or roles of preference in the enrolment form below.
